Why a gazebo is a great investment for schools

Choosing the right strength and size frame 

Not all gazebos are built the same. For schools, the key considerations are durability, ease of use, weight and how often it will be used. We recommend 2 people to put up the gazebo, which will be up in a matter of minutes.   

Frame options: 

The S30 Steel is a solid, entry-level choice for schools that need a reliable gazebo for occasional use. Easy to set up, lightweight yet durable, and good value for money. 

The S32 Steel Heavy Duty is a step up. With stronger construction and better suited to regular use throughout the school year. A good choice for schools that attend multiple events all year round.  

The S42 Aluminium is our most popular commercial frame and the one we'd recommend for schools that want the best. Lightweight despite its strength, easy to carry and set up, and built to handle repeated weekly use. Trusted by councils, caterers and emergency services across the UK. 

Sizes: 

The 3x3m is the most popular size for schools and works well for most events. It’s large enough to shelter a team, a table or any equipment and compact enough to move and store easily. If you purchase multiple gazebos, our gazebo joining kits are designed to make it easy for you to connect two gazebos together, creating a larger covered area for your event.  

If you need more covered space, opt for the 3x4.5m or 3x6m, both are good options when you want a more prominent presence and larger footprint

Plain or printed. Which is right for your school? 

An unprinted gazebo is a perfectly good option if budget is tight and branding isn't a priority. We stock plain pop up gazebos in a range of colours including black, white, navy blue and red, which tend to be popular with schools. 

However, a printed gazebo makes a noticeably bigger impact, and for schools that attend events regularly or want to make a strong impression on open days, it's worth the investment. 

With a printed gazebo you can include your school crest, name, colours and any messaging. It will all be printed using dye sublimation technology for vibrant, long-lasting colour that doesn't crack or peel. 

Printed gazebo packages for schools: 

Print Package - Option 1, from £550 — a fully printed roof only, with the option to add a plain sidewall set. A great starting point if you want your school's name and crest visible without committing to full wall printing or you simply don’t require walls.  

The Starter Pack Pro, from £725 — a printed roof, plain sidewall set, a printed tablecloth and a 6ft folding table. A clean, complete package for schools that want a professional branded setup. The table and tablecloth can be used independently from the gazebo, allowing for this setup work hard across multiple spaces.  

Print Package - Option 3, from £925 — a printed roof plus three single-sided printed walls. This fully branded setup means you’ll be visible from every angle and you can include more messaging which is ideal for open days or high-visibility events. 

All printed orders include a free artwork proof before anything goes to print, and production is 7–10 working days from artwork approval.

Don't forget the weights 

This is the one thing people sometimes overlook, and they matter for safety, as well as the longevity of your gazebo. Any gazebo used outdoors needs to be properly secured, especially if there's any wind. 

We offer a range of leg weight options including stackable steel weights plus ground stakes for grass or soft ground. For a standard 3x3m gazebo at an outdoor event, we recommend weights on all four legs as a minimum. 

If you're using the gazebo on a hard surface like a playground, weights are essential. On grass or playing fields, a combination of weights and stakes gives you the most secure setup. Our gazebos include heavy duty stakes as a standard, but you can purchase additional stakes and tiedown kits for additional support.

Printed accessories. Great for sports events and school entrances 

Flags and pop-up banners work brilliantly alongside a gazebo, and they're also useful on their own at sports events where you want your school to be visible without setting up a full shelter. 

Printed feather and teardrop flags are available in three sizes and can be used freestanding with a ground spike, cross or heavy duty base, alternatively they can be clamped directly onto your gazebo legs for extra impact or if you need visibility from further afield.  

They’re perfect for lining the entrance to your school on open days, marking your team's area at inter-school sports events, or adding visibility at community fairs and fundraisers. 
They can be printed with any message, such as ‘entrance’, ‘parking’ or your school's name and crest.  

Pop-up banners are ideal for indoor and outdoor use. They work well in halls, at exhibitions or at indoor and outdoor sports events. Lightweight, portable and fully printed with your school's branding. 

Both are printed using the same dye sublimation process as our gazebos, so you can keep colours consistent to match your full setup.

Ordering and lead times 

Unprinted pop up gazebos and accessories such as tables and weights, are available for next day delivery when ordered by 2pm Monday to Friday. Standard production time for printed gazebos and printed accessories is around 7–10 working days from artwork approval, so if you have an event coming up, it's worth getting your order in early.

FAQ 

How many people does it take to put up a school gazebo? 
Two people is all you need. Most of our pop-up gazebos are up in a matter of minutes and no tools are required. 

Can I get a gazebo printed with our school crest? 
Yes. Just send us your vectored logo, brand guidelines or design specifications we need to follow, and our design team will create a visual proof for your approval before anything goes to print. 

How long will a printed gazebo last? 
With proper care and storage, our printed gazebos are built to last many years of regular use. The dye sublimation printing won’t crack and peel, and the covers are 100% waterproof and fire rated. 

Are branded gazebos waterproof? 
Yes, all our branded gazebos are made with waterproof polyester canopies and walls. Manufactured form high quality steel and aluminium frames, built to withstand most UK weather conditions and are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. 

What colours are available for unprinted gazebos? 
We stock a range of popular colours including white, black, navy blue and red. If you need a specific colour gazebo, a fully printed gazebo is your best option.
